Jean Dubuffet o cómo delimitar un mundo con un perímetro
Jardin d'émailEpoxy resin and concrete with polyurethane paintsSurface area 600 m2Made in 1974 after a 1968 modelCollection: Rijksmuseum Kröller-Müller, Otterlo (Netherlands)
Like most of these works, Dubuffet conceived the Jardin d'émail without a precise destination, not envisaging its enlargement, using his imagination sufficed. The project to build the sculpture in the museum's large garden made him realise the model's status but above all it was the occasion for Dubuffet to instigate " a sort of permanant confrontation between the houloupian nature and the surrounding nature: an artificial garden in a garden of real trees and real lawns."
